Pet Euthanasia & End-of-Life Care

Saying goodbye to a pet is never easy. Our team provides compassionate euthanasia services. Allowing families the time and space they need to farewell their companion in a calm and supportive environment.

Euthanasia can be performed at the clinic or in your home. Some families prefer the familiarity and privacy of home, while others feel more comfortable doing it here at the clinic. We can discuss the options with you to help determine what best suits your pet, your family, and the situation.

When is the right time to put my dog or cat to sleep?

Deciding when to say goodbye can be difficult. Excessive pain and discomfort that is not responsive to pain medications as well as pronounced changes in mobility, appetite, breathing, or overall quality of life may indicate that your pet is no longer coping and therefore ready. We will walk you through, step by step, the whole process so that you come to an informed and compassionate decision for your pet.

What to Expect

The process is gentle and designed to ensure your pet is comfortable and free from distress. A sedative is sometimes administered first so your pet is as relaxed and stress free as possible. The procedure itself is not painful, and you are welcome to take as much time as you need to say goodbye. We will not rush you.

Aftercare & Support

If you wish, we can assist with cremation arrangements and liaise with the provider on your behalf. Families may choose individual cremation and select an urn or keepsake that feels right for them. We commonly work with Companion Cremations and Sacred Souls Pet Funerals, and you are welcome to discuss options directly with them.

Grief support resources are also available. We understand the loss of a pet can be profound, and support is available when you need it.
