Acupuncture & Integrative Veterinary Medicine
At Bundaberg South Vet Clinic, integrative veterinary medicine means bringing together the best of modern veterinary care and supportive holistic therapies to care for your pet as a whole β not just their symptoms.
Dr. Gabby believes great medicine looks at the full picture. Instead of simply treating whatβs in front of us, she takes the time to understand why itβs happening and creates a personalised plan that supports your petβs long-term comfort, health, and happiness. She is trained in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) and holds a Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Acupuncture, allowing her to thoughtfully integrate acupuncture and TCVM principles alongside evidence-based conventional care.
In addition, Dr. Gabby has undertaken further training in veterinary nutrition and rehabilitative care, giving her additional tools to support mobility, recovery, chronic disease management, and overall wellness.
What Does Integrative Care Include?
Modern Veterinary Medicine
Examinations, diagnostics, blood tests, imaging, and appropriate medications remain the foundation of good care. Integrative medicine works alongside these tools to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Chronic Condition Management Plans
If your pet is living with ongoing conditions like arthritis, allergies, gut issues, hormone disorders, or heart disease, we create clear, structured plans to help you feel confident managing their care. These plans may include medication, nutrition adjustments, supportive therapies, lifestyle changes, and regular check-ins β all designed to improve quality of life and reduce flare-ups.
Veterinary Acupuncture
With her postgraduate qualifications in acupuncture, Dr. Gabby offers treatments to support pain relief, mobility, neurological conditions, and chronic disease management. Many pets find acupuncture relaxing, and it can be a valuable addition to conventional therapies.
Natural Nutrition
Food plays a powerful role in health. Dr. Gabby provides practical, tailored nutrition guidance β whether supporting digestive health, skin conditions, weight management, or chronic disease care.
Rehabilitation & Mobility Support
Through additional training in rehabilitation medicine, Dr. Gabby develops targeted plans to improve strength, mobility, and comfort. Whether your pet is recovering from injury or surgery, managing arthritis, or simply slowing down with age, rehabilitation can help them move and feel better.
Integrative veterinary medicine is about partnership. Itβs thoughtful, personalised care that supports both you and your pet β helping them feel better, move better, and live well at every stage of life.
